我是在边工作边自学英语的！可以要教材（社会发展，教材可以是纸质的，也可以是网上录制的），毕竟系统一些。

我写写我使用过的教材吧：

1，新概念1-4册。

这真的是一套非常棒的教材，一课一课的，循序渐进的，让你从0开始学起。

很多人说过时了，我不觉得，语言过时本身就很慢，再加上语法是不可能过时的，学习方法思路也是不会过时的，只是现在诱惑多了，学习途径多了而已。

我是完整读了第二册和第三册的，课文挺有趣，不枯燥，也很能体现西方文化，西方思维这些。

2，赖世雄英语

赖世雄是一位教授，它主要是教美语，音标、语法、口语等等，它都有教材出版。

我推荐他，是因为他挺幽默的，他的声音很有识别度，讲的东西也还是挺专业的。

3，走遍美国

这是一套视频教学教材，视频有点老，但是学习方式很好。

该教材所采用的"电视影集"式的组织形式，是在向全球105个国家的英语教学者广泛咨询后决定的，电视剧情节感人，能吸引学习者的兴趣。《走遍美国》电视影集代表了国际最高制作水平，它的编剧兼导演WilliamGreeves，以及动画制作群DovetailGroup都曾几度荣获艾美奖，所有演员都是优秀的专业演员，他们美语发音清晰、体态语言丰富，效果远远超出了一般所谓的"情景会话"教材。

比如聊天用英语，约会去外国人多的地方。

如果这样太频繁，可以让他平时自己练，每周抽一个晚上叫英语夜，让他向你秀英语。然后给他点鼓励，坚持越久进步越大，奖励越诱人。他应该就能学起来吧。

至于入门，看他是要学哪方面的口语。现在课程很多，免费的，付费的，这个找资料时间用得少。如果自己搜可以用的材料，其实可以找到，但找的时间比较多。因为注重口语，所以音标是基础，学习资料要以音频、视频为主。查单词，必须听读音。要模仿。

如何在一年内提高日常口语水平？

一年的时间足够了。前两三个月用来打通耳朵，每天听，听同样的内容，多次重复听。达到听到上句就知道下句的程度。听的内容不要太难，尽量和自己的水平差不多。这个过程可以让自己对英语的声音熟悉起来，哑巴英语的一个重要原因是我们对英语的声音不熟悉，更谈不上说。接下来要把听过的内容都认真学习一遍。词组呀，句型呀，甚至一些小的介词都不用放过。这个过程中继续听之前的内容，一定要熟练。这个大概一两个月就可以完成，这样把你自己的语法基础也再次打实。这个过程可以每天跟着磁带读你听的内容，尽量跟磁带进行模仿。接下来就可以自己多练习说，各种各样的题材的文章多看。毕竟听说也是建立在你的输入基础上，如果语言的输入不够，听说肯定上不去。最好是多听听最近的新闻呀，看看电视节目呀，这个过程中多积累一些词汇。也可以找一些音频的资料练习，模仿，积累。当然，你说提高日常口语水平，和日常有关的英语学习材料也不少，比如走遍美国。你从头到尾认真学，反复听。肯定会有收获的。英语学习是一个需要坚持的过程，不要三天打渔两天晒网。坚持每天听，每天朗读，一年下来肯定会有收获。
